Correct Answer: Rs. 12,500
Solution : Let the present salaries of Rida and Riya be $3x$ and $5x$ respectively. According to the question, $(3x + 5000) : (5x + 5000) = 5 : 7$ ⇒ $21x + 35000 = 25x + 25000$ ⇒ $4x = 10000$ ⇒ $x = 2500$ $\therefore$ Salary of Riya = $5x$ = 12500 Hence, the correct answer is Rs. 12500.
