The subjects in commercial pilot? 10+2 marks can consider in a commercial pilot training?
Hi,
To be able to become a commercial pilot, your 10th grade marks don't matter at all. You should pass 12th grade with science as your stream(Math and Physics compulsory).
According to DGCA, there are no percentage requirements in 12th to be eligible for a Commercial Pilot License. However, most of the reputed fIying schools in India like IGRUA, CAE, Chimes Aviation Academy, MPFC, GATI, Gujarat Flying Club and many more which will provide you with world class training have minimum percentage requirements in 12th ranging from 51% to 60% for admission into their CPL course. This has been done by them to reduce the competition and eliminate students. So if you wish to join these flying schools then you will have to score according to their eligibility criteria. You can get to know about their eligibility criteria on their websites or their course brochures.
However, there are some flying schools in India without any percentage requirements as well, one of which is Academy of Carver Aviation, Pune. Also, you can go abroad for your training if you don't have a good percentage if you wish to since in countries like USA and New Zealand, most of the flying schools don't have percentage requirements.
If you want to work for an airline as a pilot, note this properly. Airlines in India have minimum percentage requirements between 65-75% marks in 12th during hiring of pilots. Below this, you can't expect a job in the Indian aviation market. Therefore try and do your best in 12th grade and score maximum marks. You won't be selected by any airline to fly their million dollar aircraft if you have less marks. All Cadet Programs in India have a minimum percentage requirement in 12th ranging from 55% to 60%(no exemptions).
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
