Correct Answer: 1600

Solution : Let the numbers be x and y, where x > y.
According to the given information,
x + y = 80
x – y = 20
Now, (x + y) (x – y) = 80 × 20
⇒ x 2 – y 2 = 1600
Hence, the correct answer is 1600.
