There are very few core engineering companies that are coming to recruit, many students do core engineering and get a job in software. What is your advice for students who wish to do core engineering?
There are two sides in it either you like core engineering you can take or you take the other branch beacuase you don't want to go for computer science. Many of the students come in this category & they take the other core branch because they don't want to go for computer Science then they have not very successful career in it because they don't have the passion in it from beginning.
These days Mechanical Engineering in good institution does not lost its value. But there is a lot of preference in companies for diploma holders & ITI holders to do the basis jobs so they don't need to sell out a lot of money.
And Automobile sectors & Manufacturing sectors are still at large.
Many of the Mechanical engineering Students are going to do engineering in Management and it has very successful in Operation & others as their mode of study actually prepares for it. So this is the field you can go in Core engineering handling the project in different capacity.

Dear Aspirant,
To join a core company from a low tier college is very difficult. I suggest you must try for internships in core companies. Getting a job there directly is a very difficult task for colleges in which no core companies visits.
For internships, you can either use linkedIn to connect to the recruiters of your interested company or look for internships on platforms like Internshala, etc.
You can also mail the recruiters with details about yourself and why you should be hired for the internship. Learn and mention only the skills specific to the role.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
