I think as far as concerned regarding document verification it can create problem there if come into considerations by any authority member so u should get it corrected as early as possible also for this and future .

No I don't think it will create any problem as far as the verification of documents are concerned in any college.as far as I have seen no one even sees the documents.but still get it corrected as soon as possible for future reference because marksheet of 10 and 12th as the most important documents.

Yes it can create a big problem for you.

Parent's details are mandatory and every colleges has records of it.If your mistake is seen by the authorities,  then it might create problems.So i will suggest you to correct it as early as possible.
