Hey there.

You are absolutely right about the news. There is going to be a common entrance test for all the medical colleges in India. In the previous year, AIIMS and JIPMER had their own exams but this year onwards there will be one single test and the score would determine who gets into which college. Pull up your pants and work harder to grab a seat. All the best.

Hi Prabha,

Yes. According to the new criteria all students who want to appear for MBBS have to appear for NEET and there will be no separate tests for AIIMS and JIPMER. Admission in both the Institutions will be on the baiss of NEET score only. So the news you have heard is absolutely true.
