Cbse has introduced it as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is continuously into encouragement of creative and critical thinking among students , which is good for students.
Another reason for these changes in assessment and evaluation practices was the poor performance of class 10thstudents in National Assessment Survey (2017-18), which indicated that the performance of CBSE class 10 students in Science, mathematics, social science, English and modern Indian language is 51, 52, 53, 58 and 62 respectively; all figures being in percentage. So these , will surely help students to improve their marks and overall %.

Hi , if you are appearing in improvement exam , then you don't need to bother about practical exam as you don't need to give practical, not even these newly introduced practicals.
