Allotment of seats in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs are processed as per your rank, your preferences of choices and the cutoff rank of any particular institute. It may happen that the institutes you have selected have higher cutoff rank than your rank. You should check the previous years' opening and closing rank and compare these ranks with your obtained rank. By this you can have a clear idea whether you can get chance in these colleges or not.

You can wait upto 7th round for allotment. After 7th round of counseling you may try for CSAB Special rounds. In this period check the cutoff ranks for all the colleges those participated in CSAB Special rounds so that you can arrange your choices easily without any hesitation of getting chance.
