Hello

Yes this is a very good field of engineering this field is used to design and maintaining onboard propulsion systems so that the ships and vessels can last long(since they are very expensive) as well as their efficiency is maximum. You need to be onboard on a ship depending on your job profile you can also join navy after doing this branch.

Well it is one of the field which is less preferred due to its job security but If you have passion for this field then you should go for it.
