Hey Aspirant..

The preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview are all part of the IBPS PO exam pattern.

Prelims : There are three portions to the prelims exam. There are 100 objective multiple-choice questions on the test paper. The exam has a total score of 100. The examination will last 60 minutes.

Mains: The mains exam for IBPS PO consists of both objective and descriptive type tests. There are 157 questions on the test paper (155 objective type and 2 descriptive type tests). The exam will last 3 hours and 30 minutes. The test has a total score of 225.

Interview: A total of 100 points are awarded for the interview. The qualifying marks for the interview are 40% and 35% for  for SC / ST/ OBC/ PWBD candidates.

IBPS Preparation Tips: Section-wise

Below are section-by-section preparation advice for the prelims and mains exams.

English Language: The syllabus for the English Language component of the prelims and mains exams is nearly identical. You should read newspapers and magazines to get good grades in this area. In addition, review your high school grammar books to brush up on your grammar and vocabulary.

The reasoning ability component is the scoring section. This component can be prepared by solving previous year's question papers and mock examinations. Because these areas account for a large amount of the exam, practise puzzles and seating arrangements. In addition, brush up on other concepts like coding and decoding, inequality, and syllogism

To prepare for both the general awareness and descriptive portions, read newspapers, periodicals, and books. This will help you brush up on current events as well as grammatical understanding.

Quantitative Aptitude: You must understand the fundamentals of Quantitative Aptitude. Because Data Interpretation is questioned in the majority of questions, you should pay extra attention to it. To increase your performance, practise short tricks on a regular basis and take sectional tests. Short-cut tricks aid in the calculation of issues involving squares, cubes, percentages, and so on.

Computer Aptitude: This is the simplest section, and spending one hour every day on it would help you score well. Learn the fundamentals of computers, including computer history, shortcut keys, internet browsers, MS Excel, spreadsheets, and more.

IBPS Preparation Tips: General Tips

The following are some general tips and tricks for the IBPS PO mains exam.

Get a complete curriculum.

The IBPS does not have a specific syllabus for its exams. The primary subjects can be deduced by analysing previous years' bank exam question papers. The syllabus might help you save time and effort. Make an effort to cover all of the topics in the exam's curriculum.

Make a study schedule.

Making a study plan is a crucial element of the preparation process. Aspirants should attempt to cover the entire syllabus and include topic revisions on a regular basis. Analyzing past years' bank exam question papers and identifying essential exam subjects should all be part of the study plan.

Regularly take a practise test.

To stay current with the types of questions answered in bank exams, you should take mock tests. It also allows you to assess your degree of preparedness and identify your strong and weak areas.

Newspapers should be read

Newspaper reading is an integral element of the IBPS PO preparation process. To prepare for the exam, you should read newspapers on a regular basis, particularly the business pages.

Examine the question papers from past years.

Analyzing previous year's question paper might help you grasp the level of the exam as well as the actual exam pattern. You'll be able to study questions from which themes are frequently asked on the exam and which are less relevant in terms of exam preparation.

I hope this information helps.

All the best.
