Hotel Management courses offered in educational institutions across India train students to become successful HotelcManagers, Hoteliers and Lodging Managers. They impart skills in students as to how they can manage best the operation of a hotel, motel, resort or some other kind of lodging related establishment. They learn how to manage with ease hotel staff, maintain the sanitary standards of hotel facilities, ensure optimum guest satisfaction and customer service and at the same time keeping an eye of the revenue that comes in. Bachelor of Hotel Management is a 3-year programme. Students are groomed to become future head executives of hotels and learn the art of carrying out their duties and responsibilities effectively depending on the size of the hotel and the expectations that the owners of the hotel have of them. They learn how to manage subordinates, each of whom is responsible for individual departments and key functions of the hotel operation. One can pursue Master of Hotel Management after graduation.
Eligibility Criteria
UG: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum qualifying marks and with English as a compulsory subject to pursue Bachelor of Hotel Management.
PG: Candidates must hold a degree in Bachelor of Hotel Management or in any other discipline along with a good score in entrance tests held for PG programme held by the various state, central and private universities.
