Tnea cutoff calculation for other state students
Hi,
If you are applying for B.E or B.Tech then your rank is based on the marks you have obtained in 12th boards but it is reduced to 200 total marks. Your score in Mathematics out of 100 is considered along with both Physics & Chemistry marks out of 100 (& not 200).
If you tie with some other candidate then individual marks in Maths is checked & if there's a tie there too then marks in Physics is considered. For further tie, marks of any 4th subject is considered & in the end DOB is given importance, whichever person is older gets the seat.
If you are applying for B.Arch then your 12th board exam marks is considered out of 200 & your score out of 200 in the entrance exam NATA is taken. So, total out of 400 marks, whoever gets more will be given admission. In case of tie, the same rules will be applied as in B.Tech or B.E.
There are around 52 seats available for other states quota. These seats are distributed regionally, North, South, East and West. The approximate cut-offs for these regions according to recent years are as follows:-
South: 199.33 North: 193 West: 189 East: 187
This is for the unreserved category & it is subject to change every year. For the reserved category too, the cut-offs vary significantly so these data are not the exact accurate cut-offs but a generalisation as per previous records.
Hope this helps.
