candidates can apply for TNTET paper 1 or paper2 or both as per the eligibility.
for TNTET paper1:
All the aspiring candidates must have completed and passed 10+2/HSC and also must have a Diploma in Education/Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized institute
Or, candidates who are in final year and appearing for D.E.Ed. can also apply for TNTET 2019. However, during documents verification candidates will have to provide the D.E.Ed certificate or else they will not be eligible to receive the TET eligibility certificate

The eligibility criteria of TNTET 2020 is determined on the basis of the age of the candidate and the educational qualification of the candidates. For being eligible to give the Paper I, candidates must have passed Higher Secondary education with at least 50% marks and have passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
