to built a carrer in technology which is best Bsc.computer science or BCA. and after UG which is better MSC. CS or MCA .
Hello
Both the courses are really good in their own way. The subjects are almost the same, its just that BCA is a professional course and it aims at teaching the real work the students will have to do after college i.e. it is more application based. While BSC is more conceptual, you'll get a deeper knowledge of subjects from which somethings may not be used in the real world. You can make career in technology after both the courses, so in my opinion you should see the college, in whatever course you get a better college go for that.
After BSC or BCA, i think you should prefer MCA since you want to make career in technology, but if you do choose MSC you can also apply for lecturership, it opens more career options. Again MSC deals with more conceptual parts i.e. more theory and duration is for 2 years. While in MCA the duration is 3 years but for BSC or BCA holders it is of 2 years. So, the durations of courses will be the same for you.
I hope you make a wise decision!
Incase youre from Science Background, I would advise you to prefer B.Sc. Computer Science over BCA since B.Sc. is a much broader and in depth course. however otherwise you may pursue BCA, which perhaps has an easier curriculum than B.Sc. CS.
However, you pursue BCA or BSc, you must aim at pursuing MCA from some of the Best Public Institutions like NITs or Good Private & Deemed Universities for better career scope and prospects in the IT/Software/Services Sector.
