NMMS - National Means cum Merit Scholarship exam is sponsored by the Central Government and is conducted by the local educational authority.
Eligibility:
- The annual income of the person's family should be lesser than 1,50,000 per annum.
- The person should be from class IX and receives the scholarship till XII.
Examination pattern consists of
- MAT(Mental Ability Test)
- SAT(Scholastic Aptitude Test)
Each section consists of 90 questions to be answered in 90 minutes each.
To quality for the scholarship one has to qualify both the test with a minimum of 40% except for pré-réservation(32%)
Also one should have passed the Class VIII examination with a minimum percentage of 55% during selection for the award. Exception of 5% is given to SC/ST.
