Hello Ayush
To get admission into NIT you have to fullfill the following crteria
- First you have to qualify JEE Mains
- Score minimum 75 percent or be in top 20 percentile of your respective board in class 12
- Then you have to qualify JEE Advanced and scores a good All India Rank
Hope it helps.
After you will complete class 12th examination you will be eligible for admission in various engineering colleges.
At first, you will have to appear in JEE Mains examination and if you can qualify mains then you will get a chance to appear in JEE advance and then if you will qualify advance, you will get chance to get admission in IITs.
You can get admission in NITs,IIITs and GFTIs based on JEE mains marks.
But remender one thing, whether its NITs,IIITs,GFTIs that you will be getting through mains or IITs that you will be getting through advance.
You will have to get 75% marks in class 12th examination if you are general candidate and 65% if you are SC/ST.
I hope you doubts will be clear now.
Hi Ayush,
It is the national level exam for admission in IIT. IIT is an Indian Institute of Technology district admissions on the basis of JEE mains and JEE advanced. For entering in IIT first of all you have to give JEE mains on the basis of your 11th and 12th syllabus. Secondly you have to give day advance for entering it but you should have at least 75% for general category. Also JEE Mains is taken 2 times a year First in January and then in April and on the basis of the two, the best one is chosen as your final result. JEE Advance is the second step for entering in IIT.
