Hello Praveen
At this rank, it is unlikely that you will get any of the government colleges through JoSAA counselling. Thus, it would be better that you start searching for other college options. Consider into account private institutions that give admission on the basis of JEE Mains' rank. You could possibly get a seat there. Or else, look for the private colleges that have their own entrance examinations to give admission. The last option you could resort to is taking a drop, study hard and get a better rank so that you could get into the college you prefer to go. That is not difficult, all you need to do is put in more efforts and then you will excel. If you still wish to go for a college, then refer to the college predictor link given below-

I hope this helps you. All the very best!!
Hi Praveen,
Thanks for connecting to carrer360.
First of all you have not mention your category in the question, but no problem giving you an idea of a general category student at this rank.
It will be very difficult or mostly No to get an nit at this rank or score for a general category student but for a SC/ST category student he might get the north east side nit and that too in spot or last round of counselling.
So the last option that remains is the government college and at this rank you can get the government college just follow the steps
1)see when the states like Punjab , Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand ,Chattisgarh is starting their counselling.
2)All you need is to fill their form of counselling and within a week they will allot a college and you will definately get any govt college their.
3)choose your college and branch wisely.
At this rank if you want you can also go for jIIT Noida, pdpu Gandhinagar but their fees is quite high.
Hope that helps you.
