Yeah actually if you have minimum knowledge in the coding inwhich if you learn in 12th class it will help you for example in Karnataka you can take one of the subject in 11th and 12th class if not also no problem

In engineering they will teach

But my suggestion before you enter in to engineering let it be first learn the C programming from coaching center for atleast one month and then join in to it

It is not necessary that you should know coding before choosing computer science in college. Although it is helpful when you know the basics of coding and some basic code language as it makes easy for you to understand things in college. However, it is absolutely fine if you don't know amanythi coding because the colleges will always start the session with the basic and will teach you everything from the starting. So it is okay even if you don't know any coding.

no its not compulsory to have knowledge about coding for applying for B.E computer science because in first year we have C coding language.

you take computer science as your bifocal subject in 11th and 12th you will have basic knowledge about coding and in engineering it will be easy for your to increase your skills .
