- The basic eligibility criteria for candidates is to have a 3 year or 5 year LL.B. Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA.
- OBC candidates, should have at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA while for SC/ST candidates, the minimum aggregate marks are 40%.
- Admission to LL.M. course will be done on the basis of LL.M. Common Entrance Test conducted by University of Delhi (DU LLM CET).

Hi, The Faculty Of Law offers LL.B. and LL.M degree programs along with Ph.D. in Law.
- Candidates must apply online from the admission portal of the University of Delhi.
- To apply for LL.B. program, candidates must have a graduation degree in any field with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates should have an LL.B. Degree from with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA to be eligible for LL.M. program.
- For the Ph.D. program, candidates should have a Masters or equivalent degree in the Law stream from a recognized university.
- Selection is based on the merit in the entrance examinations and as per the cut off list released by Delhi University.
- LL.B selection is based on DU LLB entrance exam while for LL.M, DU LLM entrance exam is conducted by the university.
- Admission to Ph.D. will be through Ph.D. entrance exam conducted by DU or UGC-NET or any other nation Ph.D. test.
- Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows/wards of ex-servicemen, wards of serving personnel (CW) category who are in receipt of Gallantry awards, and candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PH) category
- Final year degree students awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

- To be eligible to apply for Doctorate of Philosophy in Law candidates should have a Master’s or equivalent degree in the Law stream from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi. Admission to the Ph.D. course will be done on the basis of NET with JRF, or DU Ph.D. Law Entrance Examination, or any other fellowship examination.
- All Candidates will have to submit the Synopsis/Research Design to the department of law to be considered for the program. The merit list will be prepared for all categories based on applicants’ marks in the entrance test and his/her Synopsis/Research Design. Applicants who clear the cut-off score set by the University will be called for the interview and admission process.
In order to take admission in Faculty Of Law, DU, candidates are required to apply in online mode. Candidates will also need to apply for the respective Entrance Examination separately. They are required to register online through the official website of the University of Delhi. Here are the steps to apply:
- Visit the official website of Delhi University.
- First time user have to register by clicking on ‘New User Sign up’ option in the new user section.
- After completion of the registration process, a verification email will be sent to candidates’ e-mail ID.
- Click on the ‘Confirm registration’ link.
- Log in again to the UG/PG admission portal by clicking on the ‘Registered User’ link.
- Fill the application form providing the correct details.
- Candidates are required to choose the course which they want to pursue according to their eligibility.
- Applicants can choose more than one course at the time of application.
- Candidates must submit the application form along with the application fee (INR 100 for General/OBC Category candidates and INR 50 for SC/ST candidates) through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.
- Upload the documents, fill the details asked on the application form and submit the same.
The candidates are supposed to upload the follwing documents:
- Self-attested copy of board examination certificate of Class X mark sheet
- Self –attested copy of provisional certificate of Class XII mark sheet
- Self-attested copy of bachelor’s degree or provisional degree (if any)
- Scanned copy of Photograph and Signature
- Community certificate, SC/ST/OBC (as assigned by competent authority)
- Certificate with reference to Kashmiri migrant, sports quota or Extra Curricular activities (ECA) quota (if applicable)
Candidates should carry the original documents along with the photocopies at the time of admission
- Character certificate from the Head of the College or School last attended
- Matriculation certificate for confirmation of the date of birth
- Provisional certificate of the last examination passed.

Reservations:
- 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories.
- 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped Candidates as per the University procedure.
- 5% of total available seats are reserved for Sports and Extra Curricular Activities.
