There are many colleges that accept WBJEE score. And Jadavpur University with NIRF Ranking 14, is among the top engineering colleges of West Bengal rather India. The placements of JU is incomparable. Many US and UK Based companies come for recruitment. Computer science and Engineering is the branch with highest placement record. The highest package was around 40 lpa while companies like Adobe, Goldman sachs, SAP Labs, Microsoft, Samsung, Siemens, Oracle hire engineers with an average package of around 12 lpa.

University of Calcutta, Rajabazar science college Campus, ranked 41st among Universities, is another best government Engineering college of West Bengal Under WBJEE. The placements of this college is pretty good. Capgemini, Wipro, Samsung are some of the recruiters for CSE. Placement for all the branches are pretty good.

Institute of Engineering and Management, NIRF Ranking 191 in Engineering, is top Engineering college among private Institutes. L&T, TCS, Wipro, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, BYJU'S, Zenser Tech are some recruiters. More than 85% get placed every year.

Among private Engineering colleges, Techno India Salt lake, Techno India College of Technology, RCC Institute of Information Technology, BP Poddar Institute of Engineering and Management, Heritage Institute of Technology (NIRF Ranking 154th), Haldia Institute of Technology (NIRF Ranking 163rd), Narula Institute of Technology (AAA+ rating from Careers360 which means fair), Brainware University, Academy of Technology have good record in Placements.

Among government colleges, Govt. College of engineering and Ceramic Technology has good placement. CTS, TCS, Wipro are mass recruiters of CSE. Proact, Tech Mahindra, Infosys also recruit from this college. Placement for BTech Ceramic Technology is also good.

Jalpaiguri Government Engineering college (AAA rating from Careers360 which means Above Average), Purulia Government Engineering college have average placements. The placement record is not so impressive.
