Hi,

To start of let me tell you the main requirement for M.Sc in Industrail Chemistry, which is a B.Sc. degree having the subjects like Zoology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology or if you have an equivalent degree in a science stream with 60% of marks from a recognized board you will be eligible to apply. Speaking of the best universities, I would recommend

1. National Institute of Technology, Warangal

2. Guru Nanak Dev Univerity, Amritsar

3. Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh

4. I.I.T, Kharagpur

These would be my picks. Also the average fee for this course ranges between INR 5,000 to 2 Lacs based on the performance of respective student in his/her bachelor degree examination or based on the entrance exam conducted by the college before admissions. Most of these college give their admissions based on the merit list, althogh some top universities do conduct entrance tests along with a personal interview. Speaking of scope I would say you have choosen a right course if you want to go into Petrochemical Companies, Perfume Industries, Agrochemical Companies, Plastics, Polymer Companies etc. Also the average salary ranges from INR 1 to 10 lakhs depending on personal experience.

Thanks

So you want to continue in the field of industrial chemistry? Ask yourself if you are truely passationate for the subject and then decide if you want to go for a Masters degree or no. Do not take risks in a degree like masters if you do not like your subject full 100%. Introspect, take your time. I am suggesting this because 55% in B.Sc itself is a little low. If you are still willing to go ahead and will promise yourslef to improve, I will suggest you a few colleges and how you can get into.
