What is Automobile Engineering?
- Automobile Engineering is a part of Mechanical engineering which deals with vehicled designing, repairing, testing and assembling.
- The programme trains a student in areas like safety engineering, quality management and control, automotive analytics, and assembling and installation of various automobiles.
- Areas of specialization in this course are engine systems, electronic and control systems, fuel technology, fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, alternative fuels, emission control etc.
- It is a four year B.E or B.Tech course in the the undergraduation level.
Scope of Automobile Engineering:
- You work in organisations as designers and developers of automobiles.
- You can create blueprints of vehicles and its components.
- You can also work in the maintenance and service sector. This will involve working in automobile workshops, aircraft industries, marine vessels, aviation centres, fuel power stations etc.
- Salary of automobile ranges from INR 20,000 to 1,00,000 per month depending on the educations and experience.
