The top business schools in India offering the PGDM/ MBA accept the entrance test scores. They do not offer direct admission to their management programme. Candidates seeking admission in any of these top MBA colleges must appear for either CAT/ XAT / NMAT/ SNAP / CMAT or any other entrance examination. However, there are some of the IITs which exempt some candidates from appearing in the CAT. Given below is the institution wise exemption cases:

  • IIT Madras: IIT Graduates who have obtained a CGPA of 8 and above on 10 are exempted from CAT score, and the defense personnel are exempted from the national level entrance test. They should apply through respective government agencies.
  • IIT Roorkee: JEE or JEE Advanced qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA 7 and above on a 10-point scale are exempted from CAT and are directly called for the PI.
