Hello Student,
General Rank is described as the Common rank list, which include total number of students that takes participate in Examination despite of their category.
Whereas General-EWS Category Rank, Belongs to those Student whose category is EWS implied by following condition:
- Annual Family Income is less than 8 lakhs per annum
- Must not own more than 5 Acre of agricultural land
- Residential flat area should be less than 1000 sq ft
If student from general category fulfills this condition then he belongs to GEN-EWS category otherwise he belongs to General category.
