Correct Answer: 11 a.m

Solution : Let the bus and car meet after time t hours from 9 a.m.
Total distance covered by car and bus together = Total distance between cities = 135 km
Distance travelled by car moving at 25 km/hr from 8 a.m. = 25(t + 1) km
Distance travelled by bus moving at 30 km/h from 9 a.m. = 30(t) km
Total distance covered by car and bus together = 135 km
So, 25 (t + 1) + 30(t) = 135
⇒ 55t = 110
⇒ t = 2 hours
So, they meet after 2 hours from 9 a.m. That is, at 11 a.m.
Hence, the correct answer is 11 a.m.
