Correct Answer: 9

Solution : Use: Time taken to cross each other = $\frac{\text{Sum of the lengths of two trains}}{\text{Relative Speed}}$
Speed of 1st train = 65 km/h
Speed of 2nd train = 55 km/h
They run in opposite directions, therefore,
Relative speed = 65 + 55 = 120 km/h
Converting this into m/sec,
⇒ 120×$\frac{5}{18}=\frac{100}{3}$ m/sec
Length of 1st train = 180 meter
Length of 2nd train = 120 meter
Total length = 180 + 120 = 300 meter
Time taken = $\frac{300}{\frac{100}{3}}$
Time taken = 300×$\frac{3}{100}$ = 9 sec
Hence, the correct answer is 9.
