Correct Answer: $27\frac{7}{9}$m

Solution : Given:
Two trains are running at 40 km/h and 20 km/h, respectively, in the same direction.
Their relative speed $=(40-20)=20$ km/h = $20×\frac{5}{18}=\frac{50}{9}$ m/sec
Length of the faster train = Relative distance travelled by faster train in 5 seconds = $\frac{50}{9}×5=\frac{250}{9}=27\frac{7}{9}$m
Hence, the correct answer is $27\frac{7}{9}$m.
