types of mode of reproduction in biology
Answer (1)
Hey nikhil,
There are 2 types of reproduction
1. Asexual reproduction
2. Sexual reproduction
In asexual mode of reproduction it includes only one individual or organism, in this mode the offspring produced is identical to the mother geniticallly. The offspring produced have the same number of chromosome ,that is why they are also known as clones because they are the exact of their parents.
Some of the asexual methods are binary fission, budding, fragmentation and spore formation
Coming to sexual mode of reproduction it involves two individual one is male and one is female to give the birth to new individual ,they together make a singular zygote ,this zygote shares half of its genetic information with the father and rest half with mother ,there are many modes of sexual reproduction in both plant and animals ,the newly born individual are not identical to their parents not physically neither genetically .
Hope this was helpful!
