PES College of Engineering, Mandya was established in the year 1962. PESCE was founded by the People's Education Society currently known as People's Education Trust (R). The campus is spread over 62 acres of land. The college is recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The main objective of the institution is to promote Technical Education among the students of Rural Areas. As per the NIRF 2021 report, the college has been given the 139th position in the engineering category. PES College of Engineering is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University .
PES College of Engineering offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The college also provides many facilities to the students such as a library, indoor and outdoor sports complex, separate hostels for boys and girls, auditorium, laboratories, medical facilities, etc. PESCE has a placement cell that provides placement assistance to the students.

Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr AIT) was established in 1980 under the auspices of Panchajanya Vidya Peeta Welfare Trust. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. The autonomous college is aided by the government of Karnataka and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Furthermore, the institute is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. The college campus is spread over an area of 23 acres. As per the official website of the college, Dr AIT's vision is to develop innovative and technical professionals.
The college offers 37 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Four specialisations of the B.Tech programme - Electrical & Electronics Engineering , Telecommunication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering and Industrial Engineering & Management are accredited by the National Body of Accreditation (NBA).In order to secure a seat in the B.Tech course, candidates need to appear for the COMEDK UGET /JEE Main/ KCET . For M.Tech., M.B.A. and M.C.A. admission, the college accepts Karnataka PGCET scores. Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology has collaborations with various international institutes like Ahmad Dahlan University, Indonesia, North-Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand etc. For the placement of its students, Dr AIT has a placement cell.

It has great bus connectivity. Along this good placement and decent teachers are also present, you have a pretty darn good college. It has almost everything you would need including a student-run website: BITUnOfficial.Com. Infrastructure is pretty decent too. also providing well equipped for study and research. Also, sports facility is also very good which leads to overall development of students.
