Your question is a little confusing however I will try to answer in the best way I can. Categories other then general and OBC comes in minority quota like ST and SC. Some seats are reserved for minority quota students.In some colleges Minority means Christian, Muslim, sikh  budhist. Suppose you have 6 subjects in your 12th then Intermediate's total marks would be your total marks out of 600 (100marks per subject) and individual subject marlks would be your mark in a particular subject (Ex biology or english).
