There are lateral entry for all the branch for btech and UPSEE conducts a separate exam for them . Rank cutoff considered for lateral entry is a bit low. A rank which is below 5k. If you have any reservation then that will be helpful for you. Rank considered varies as per the college. IF you consider IET,lucknow, the cutoff is below 100 and if you go for any private institute then the cutoff is below 5k and some where below 7K.

There is a wide range which is considered and your admission will totally depending on the rank you get.
