Hello,

Almost all universities in USA and Canada accept IELTS Academic scores for English language proficiency except Ivy league universities like MIT. A better option is TOEFL iBT for English language proficiency as it is accepted in all the universities in USA and Canada.

  • The minimum IELTS requirement for top universities is usually 7.0 or 6.5.
  • The minimum TOEFL requirement ranges from 85-110 depending upon the university of application.

yes, many universities do accept it but some need TOEFL but that is very small quantity as of many take ielts.

getting an average grade is not good enough though so try to get more of a high score for easy admission.

TOEFL is rather easier to score in within your first attempt.
