Yes, admission in BVSc i. e veterinary is through NEET entrance examination. But Neet is mandatory for bvsc only for all India quota seats offered through aipvt counselling , for state quota seats it is not mandatory and thus you can get admission in bvsc even without Neet
The re are some States which conduct their their own state level entrance examination for admission in BVSc
For example,
Rajasthan conducts its own state level entrance examination for providing admission in bvsc i. e RPVT i. e Rajasthan University of Veterinary Sciences . It is conducted by Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences , Bikaner. And through this examination, admission in 312 BVSc seats is provided across Rajasthan. The above state level entrance examinations are conducted for 85% state quota seats only while 15 % all india quota veterinary seats i. e BVSc seats, is on the basis of Neet examination only through aipvt counselling.

Yes NEET is mandatory for Veterinary courses as per the decisions made by Education ministry.After qualifying NEET you can apply to various colleges that offers the veterinary courses.Around 15% of seats are there for candidates under the All India Quota.Moreover the basic eligiblity marks as students must have passed in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks with a valid score in NEET.
