Correct Answer: 10 seconds
Solution : Given: Vinay and Mahesh are 250 metres apart from each other. They are moving toward each other at speeds of 36 km/hr and 54 km/hr respectively. Use the formula, Time = $\frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Speed}}$. The relative speed = 36 + 54 = 90 km/hr Convert km/hr into m/s by multiplying with $\frac{5}{18}$, ⇒ 90 km/hr = 90 × $\frac{5}{18}$ = 25 m/s The time when Vinay and Mahesh meet each other = $\frac{250}{25}$ = 10 seconds. Hence, the correct answer is 10 seconds.
