VIT holds 29th rank  in nirf ranking having a strong alumni network and brand name . Facultites are very well qualified many of which are doctorate and class rooms are updated with latest technology . Moreover ,at the time of placement students of chennai campus goes into main campus which creates more opportunities for them . Average package goes around 6lakhs and highest went upto 40 lakhs
