Chemical engineering is the branch of engineering that uses principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology and economics to efficiently use, produce, design, transport, and transform the energy and materials. Chemical engineering find its application in process industries. B.E/ B.Tech in chemical engg. is a 4 year undergraduate course. The scope of chemical engg. is too vast. It ranges from core Oil and Gas, Mineral processing, pharmaceutical firms, polymers to pollution control.They are required in both private and government sectors. The salary of chemical engineers is also good. Freshers can expect an average salary of INR 25,000 -30,000 per month.
