hi sanchita A rmed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune will not conduct any entrance test for admissions to MBBS programme. Instead, AFMC MBBS 2017 admissions will be on the basis of candidate’s marks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017. Candidates who will qualify NEET 2017 will be invited to appear in ToELR (Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning), a psychological assessment test cum interview. Thus, in order to participate in the admission process of AFMC MBBS 2017, candidates will have to mandatory appear in NEET 2017 and qualify it. Candidates who will not appear in NEET 2017 are not eligible to fill AFMC MBBS 2017 application forms. Among the total MBBS seats in AFMC MBBS, 105 are reserved for boys and 25 seats are for girl candidates. Further, 10 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories, good luck

Yes, AFMC has been considering NEET-UG scores in the recent years for shortlisting candidates for admission into their college.

The cut off scores however are subject to variation, this year it was 600 marks for girls and 570 for boys.

That is not all, once you're shortlistiled for AFMC, you'll be asked to appear for a computer based examination at AFMC Pune. Also called TOELR, it will test your grip on English, logic and reasoning. It will be a 80 marks examination where there will be 40 questions each carrying 2 marks along with 0.5 marks as negative marking.

A merit list is then prepared based on your NEET scores and CBT and finally 25 girls and 105 boys gain the eligibility to pursue MBBS from this institution.

Hi Sanchita Rai,

Yes, from past 2-3 years, AFMC is not conducting its own entrance exam. The admission criteria in AFMC is based on the NEET marks. AFMC set a basic cutoff marks in NEET to be eligible for AFMC counselling for thoe who apply for AFMC separately for Counselling.

Different cutoff marks are laid for Girls and Boys. The Shortlisted candidates are called for ToLER and Medical, and Interview alongwith some basic criteria for selection.

In nutshell, You Must clear NEET get admission in AFMC

Hope this helps you,

All the Best.
