BPT is an undergraduate course. On completing the course, graduates will get the DPT (Doctor of Physiotherapy) degree. 

              This professional course is 4 and 1/2 years . Regular classroom sessions and clinical sessions include 4 years of the academic program. 6 months are dedicated towards internship. So, in total the course duration is 4 1/2 years.

                This course is really helpful in the long run, because BPT trains students and helps them acquire skills and techniques taught in the program, such as - exercise therapy, physical therapy, electro therapy and handling of surgical (for rehabilitation) and physical conditions.

Dear Diya, BPT is a Bachelor's in Physiotherapy course for 4 & 1/2 years of duration that includes 6 months of mandatory internship. You study Anatomy, Physiology, BioChemistry, Exercise Therapy, Massage Therapy, Bio Mechsnics, Irthopaeducs, Neurology and Cardiology. In short, you almost study every subject that a Medical student studies with exception of few subjects. And post your Bachelor's degree, you need to register yourself with MIAP to practise. You can also pursue your Masters in your area of interest. Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Sports are few Specialisations that we have in India. You can also your Masters in Psychology, Sociology, and other relevant Sciences. Abroad, you have a combination of these courses. And regarding the opportunities, you can work independently or associate yourself with a hospital. There is no dearth of opportunities for Physiotherapists in India or abroad. Hope this helps!
