Hello,
University Entry Scheme (UES) is conducted by Indian Navy for recruitment of officers to the navy. Generally it is for SSC(Short service commission), i.e for 10 years which can be further extended.
The selection board visits the respective universities and shortlists candidates based on academic score, co curricular activities, and sports etc. The shortlisted candidates are called for SSB interview. Those who are recommended by the SSB are sent for the medicals.
Then a common merit list is prepared and depending upon the vacancies the candidates who make it to the list are called for training and hence recruited into the Indian Navy as officers.
Good luck
