Well, this is the most coveted question and significantly from engineering students here. Every Engineering company looks to hire some fantastic piece of brains, they want to ensure every candidate they hire should be a good. Good at aptitude, Good at Logic, Good at Communication (differs between company to company).

The most commonly followed procedure for on campus placements is as follows:

  • Sorting based on GPA/percentage, used as an eligibility criteria.
  • Written round which involves Aptitude, English, Technical questions, GK. Not all the companies will seek all of the subjects mentioned above.
  • GD
  • Technical interview
  • Personal/HR interview.

Now, there are a lot of variables in the selection of the rounds. It depends on the company & the no. of students appearing for the placements. The final selection process may or may not involve all the rounds mentioned above. Since everyone is a fresher, the companies don't expect you to perform out of the box but make sure your basic concepts are clear and you are good at problem solving.
