Petroleum is widely accepted use of energy and many countries are running their economy just on the exports of petroleum it is driving the world most of the transports are using petroleum as fuel in one or other form.

There are many petroleum resources which are yet to be explored and extracted but due to high cost they are not visible at and scientist are doing research to make it visible at cheaper price so there is lot of research opportunities and there are many claims regarding exhaustive nature of petroleum resources but certainly it is not the case in your future because it will take a long time to replace all automobiles with electric vehicle so 24 is not a badtime to do petroleum engineering
