Placements in different branches varies according to the different colleges. Generally, most of the colleges will have a high placement records in computer science branch due to the numerous IT companies available all over the country.

So, if you want to get a job soon after the completion of your graduation, computer science is ideal for you, as you can easily get placed in any of the IT companies but usually of a low package.

Coming to the electrical branch, it do offer some decent placements but in selected colleges like IITs or other GFTIs. So, if you are going to join in any one of the reputed colleges. You need not to worry as you can easily get placed in any branch that too with a good package.

But if you are going to join in not a well reputed college, then you need to think if you need to get placed as soon as you complete your graduation.

But you still have many opportunities like GATE and other PSUs in electrical which you cannot get in cse.
