what after bds other than mds
Hello aspirant,
MPH- Masters of Public Health
Now a days, some courses are available at AIIMS, PGI and MAHE. In the UK, Sheffield offers a course in Dental Public Health. So does, King’s College and Leeds.
MSc in Oral Biology - If you are into research, you can approach many universities around the world. (Alberta, Toronto and some even in USA)
Hospital Administration
Due to lots competition in dentistry, many people are opting for hospital administration. You can expect a decent 50–80k salary in India after a course in hospital administration. Tata Institute of Social Sciences is the best place for this.
Thankyou
Yes there are several options available. But they might take you out of your dental course as well. Either you can continue some working for experience at some place straight away after your BDS and then gradually start your own setup.
Or if you are ok with other options available then I'll enlist down some options available for you..
- MBA.
- Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA).
- Engineering (Yes sounds weird, but there are doctors abroad whose work title specified engineering to continue with their research)
- Health care start up.
- Masters in Public Health (MPH).
Best wishes .thankyou.
