Depending on the course and your aspiration you can go for further studies or jobs.
Now if you are a Diploma in Engineering student then you can apply for examination such as SSC JE, RRB JE, State PSC Junior engineer vacancy examination to get government jobs in engineering. Now if you don't want to go for government jobs then you can go for private companies by walk in interview. For that you have to register yourself in a job platform such as Naukri, LinkedIN etc. Now if you want to go for studies then you can opt for BTech course by qualifying the later entry examination and you will be provided admission directly to the 2nd year of BTech Civil Engineering. You can also change your trade from civil engineering to any other branches if you want to.
Now if you are a BTech student then also you have scope to apply for SSC JE/RRB JE/ Now if you are BTech engineer in Civil Engineering then you can apply for ISRO, BARC, DRDO etc via GATE examination or by the examination conducted by the organization. Now also if you qualify GATE then you can go for other PSU's such BHEL, ONGC etc. You can obviously go for MTech program also through your GATE rank. Apart from this you can also go for construction companies such as L&T etc where a lot of civil engineering vacancies are created. For this you need to register yourself in job platforms such as LinkedIN, NAUKRI etc.
Also after BTECH if you wish you can go for Civil Service examination such as UPSC and state civil service examination, SSC CGL etc if you want to switch your career from technical to non-technical jobs under GOI or State government.
