CAP Rounds are nothing but seat allotment rounds. There are generally 4-5 such rounds. The process goes as follows.

1. You will need to fill a form with basic information. Your CET and other scores are directly carried from your result card as you fill the seat number. After this you will be getting your registration number and password. This will be used for the remaining process.

2. Next step is to fill the choices preference for colleges which you want to choose. This is the most important step beacuse once submitted you cannot edit it till the last round. Please check the last years' cutoffs before filling this form. Put the college you want at higher priority.

3. After submitting the preferences, CAP round allotment starts. Colleges are alloted based on your rank. After the first round of allotment, you will need to confirm the alloted seat by paying the minimum fees. If you fail to do so, you will be out of the counseling process. You can choose 'Freeze', 'Float' and 'Slide' options. Please refer to the DTE website to know about this.

Keep checking the DTE website regularly as all the update are posted there only.
