In most of the states, there is no entrance examination for pursuing M.Sc Horticulture. The Basic requirement is that you should have completed your B.Sc from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
There are some Universities which carry out Entrance Exams for the same. The exams are-
1. HORTICET, conducted by Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Himachal Pradesh.
The Fees for this exam is INR 600/- for General and OBC students and INR 300/- for SC and ST students.
2. Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education & Research entrance exam.
The fees for this exam is INR 600/- for General Category students and INR 300/- for Reserved Category students.
3. Vellanikkara College of Horticulture Entrance Exam, conducted by Kerala Agricultural University.
The fees for this exam are INR 750/- for General Category students and INR 375/- for reserved category students.
4. AIEEA conducted by IARI, New Delhi.
The fees for this exam is INR 600/- for General Category Students and INR 300/- for Reserved Category Students.
5. Calcutta University Entrance Exam for M.Sc.
The fees for this Exam is INR 100/- for General Category Students and INR 50/- for Reserved Category Students.
