Hello,

Homonyms :
Homonyms are words that have the same name; in other words, they either sound the same or are spelt the same, but their meanings are different.

Example : Address location/ to speak to
Bark the sound of dogs/ trees outer layer
Band a ring/ a musical group

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Homophones :
The root phone means sound, as it does in telephone and phonics. So homophones are words that sound the same and have different spellings.

Example : Altar/ Alter
Berth/ Birth
Cast/ Caste
Days/ Daze

Hope it helps
Thank you !!!
