Students' job preferences are influenced by a variety of factors such as their interest in the field, earning potential, type of work, location, and so on.
Because each individual is unique, it may not be appropriate to make a blanket statement about the preferences of any group of students, including the top students.
That being said, I believe the roles with the highest pay rates may be of interest to you.
Citibank, HSBC, JP Morgan, and other large banks, as well as private equity and venture capital firms, pay the most for front-end investment banking positions, as do some product management and management consulting positions.
