There are very few PSU that hire Computer science Students by GATE. Due to this, not much information is present regarding their cutoff. But don't be disappointed, Here are few PSU that is going to recruit computer science students through GATE 2019-

1. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC)

BARC  has issued notification for recruiting Computer Science CSE students for Scientific Officer ‘C’ Post through GATE 2019.

Qualification: B.E / B.tech in Computer Science / Computer Engineering

Age Limit: Upper Age Limit is 26 Years as on 01.08.2019.

Fees: Rs. 500/- for GEN/ OBC. SC / ST / PWD/ Ex-Serviceman and regular employees of ECIL are exempted from payment of Application fee.

2. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has issued notification for recruiting Computer Science (CSE) students for Graduate Apprentice Engineers Post through GATE 2019

Education Eligibility:

BE.B.Tech in Computer Science & Information Technology (excluding Information & Communications Technology). Applicants, belonging to General and OBC (non- creamy layer) classes, should have secured at least 65% marks in qualifying degree examinations. Qualifying marks are relaxed to 55% for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/People with Disability (PWD) applicants.

Age Limit:

Maximum 26 years as on 30th June 2019 for general category applicants. Relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD applicants will be extended as per the Presidential Directives.

Application Fees

ZERO (There is no application fees for IOCL)

3. Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO)

Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO) issued a notification of recruiting CSE students through GATE 2019.

Education Eligibility :

Full Time B.E./B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science/ Computer Engg./ Information Technology with Minimum 65% .

Age Limit:

28 years as on 31.07.2019 (Applicants should have been born on or after 01.08.1991)

4. Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (PSPCL)

Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (PSPCL) has issued notification confirming recruitment of computer science / Information Technology students through GATE 2019 as Assistant Manager.

Educational Qualification

Full time regular B.E/ B.Tech/ BSc. degrees in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent degree recognized by AICTE or AMIE with 60% marks in Computer Science/ IT.

Age limits:

Existing age limit is 20 to 37 years as on 1st January 2019.

5. West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL)

WBSEDCL issued notification and confirmed the recruitment of computer science / Informative technology students through GATE 2019 for Assistant Engineer post.

Education Qualification:

B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Communication/M.Sc (Computer Science)/ MCA / B.S (Hons) with B.Tech (3 Years’ duration) in Computer Science and Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE/IITs.

Age limit:

Unreserved(General) 27 years

OBC 30 years

SC/ST 32 years

Your chances of getting into a PSU at this score is bleak. However, you stand a decent chance of getting into some of the good IITs or NITs at this score, subject to stream that you wish to take up for specialisation.
