Don't Miss: Best Online MBA courses by Top Universities
Hi, I tried to find this on Google, but couldn’t get much data about the numbers of MBA students and their job placements. But I think the job market out there is not very responsive for MBA graduates.
Companies are giving way more preference to PGDM students from top PGDM colleges like Asia-Pacific Institute of Management. This is because PGDM colleges really put in a lot of work into updating their course content every year, and also connect more with the industry. For example, my institute has seen 100% job placements year after year. You name any brand or company, and it has come to our campus for hiring. A few recent companies that have been to our campus include ITC Ltd., Flipkart, ICICI Bank, Birla Sun Life, and Ernst & Young (E&Y). So, if you ever feel like pursing a programme in management, I’d advise you my institute. Here’s more on Asia-Pacific Institute of Management - https://www.asiapacific.edu/
Last year, an ASSOCHAM study found that only 7% of MBA graduates from Indian business schools, excluding those from the top 20 colleges, find a job straight after completing their programme. But you don’t really need to lose your heart. Just make sure you choose a great b-school and perform your best. IIMs are the best places for management programmes. Then, there’re several other institutes which are also known for delivering excellence in management education; these institutes include names like XLRI, FORE School of Management, and Asia-Pacific Institute of Management.

There’s not much data that says about number of students who take up MBA programmes in India and get job after getting their degrees.
But here’s a report published by NDTV that says only 7 per cent of MBA graduates find jobs straight after their programmes. http://profit.ndtv.com/news/people/article-only-7-of-b-school-graduates-employable-study-1400034
The primary reason behind this grim situation is because MBA programmes aren’t updated very regularly. Also, students are taught more about the theoretical aspects of running a business. On the other hand, PGDM programmes happen to be duly approved by AICTE (MHRD, Govt. of India). Also, at elite business schools like Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, course content of PGDM programmes is reviewed and updated every year. What’s really commendable is the fact that Asia-Pacific Institute has been delivering 100% job placements to its students for the last 21 years. Almost all major national and international companies visit our campus for hiring. Other facts that make Asia-Pacific Institute an excellent destination for management education include:
Ø It is amongst top 10 b-schools in Delhi NCR (Source: Business Today MDRA Survey 2017)
Ø Amongst top 15 b-schools in North India
Ø Among top 50 management colleges in India
Ø Highly experienced faculty (most of them hold PhDs)
Ø 100% Job Placements since 1996
Ø World-class Infrastructure that comprises a Wi-Fi-campus, well-stocked library, air conditioned classrooms, and separate hostels for boys and girls along with bus-facility
Ø Strategically located in South Delhi with close proximity to leading MNCs

Hi,
Actually, there's no exact number of students. It totally depends on the institute you are pursuing MBA from, results, skills, placements, companies and other factors. So, it is unpredictable. But if you want a good job then you should go for the top institute for management studies.
